Welcome to Mexico City!
MiniWorld celebrates Mexico City and its first skyscraper with this free model of Torre Latino (Latino Tower). With 188 m (597 ft) and 44 stories, it was finished in 1956. It is the first skyscraper to be succesfully built on a highly-seismic location. Its name comes from the Seguros Latinoamericana insurance company, headquartered in the building. It was designed by architect Augusto H. Álvarez. This historical and modernist building is a symbol of Mexico City and has become a landmark. Have you seen the city from it's lookout?
